Route 1 Car Rental was founded in 2010. The company started on a small scale and as the years have passed the size of the company has grown. We provide a good and personal service. Our main concern is to keep our customers safe and to help them have an enjoyable vacation. Route 1 offers a range of affordable rental cars, from small economy cars to larger SUV's ready to take anything Iceland has to offer.

Route 1 car rental opperates in a partnership with Geysir Car Rental and our office is located at the Keflavik International airport, just 500m outside the terminal.

To get to our office you can take the car rental shuttle bus that runs from the airport terminal to our office. The shuttle runs from 05:00 - 18:00.

If you arrive outside our opening hours you can contact our customer support and we can arrange an "out of office hours" pickup at no additional cost.
